AutoPOL, the machine-independent offline programming system for press brakes, recently has a new licensing structure. This makes an entry-level system available for companies with only 1 press brake, so that it can still be optimized with a limited investment.

The latest release of AutoPOL contains many new features. The foil side is now visible throughout the entire AutoPOL process. This makes it even clearer to operators how products should be held when they are folded. The control of the Delem has been further expanded and the foil side in the graphic process is shown to the controller from the NC code. This way more and more errors are excluded! AutoPOL also offers options to program the angle measuring system automatically, but flexibly.

Many of the hundreds of sheet metal processing customers that Widenhorn supports use multiple systems that they also want linked or integrated with external systems. The family business specializes in that area. Many customer-specific customizations and links are written in-house, so that adjustments can be made immediately. A unique link has been created between AutoPOL and PROfirst. Individual or composite 3D files can first be automatically programmed for the press brakes. The feasibility has already been tested in advance and the result is correct. Based on this data, a quotation can then be automatically made, in which material type, thickness, quantity and additional operations such as edges and sovereigns are immediately taken over and calculated. The quotation only needs to be emailed and if approved, all production data is ready and the products can be combined with other orders. Different machine brands can communicate with each other in this way through the user-friendly software. This means that machines, people and materials are used really efficiently!
