The Evotec EdgeX is a versatile finishing machine that removes both surface and lateral burrs and slag in a single operation. The material is completely deburred, de-slagged, and provided with a smooth finish — efficiently and with consistent quality. Thanks to its modular design, you can easily configure the EdgeX to suit your production needs. Whether for heavy sheet metal or smaller parts, the EdgeX is your reliable and versatile must-have for a perfectly finished end product. The machine consists of three different stages: - Sanding belt: the sanding belt removes surface burrs and slag from the material. Optionally, the sanding belt can also create a linear structure. - Top brushes: the top brushes remove the oxide layer and reach grooves, holes, and recesses to completely free the material from burrs and slag. - Rotary brushes: ensures a uniform rounding of the edges and a non-directional finish, improving the adhesion of paint or similar materials. All modules can be assembled in the machine, and the order can be adjusted to your specific production needs. The machine is equipped with a conveyor belt that utilizes both vacuum and magnetic action. This ensures that the material remains firmly in place during processing. The system guarantees accurate alignment and stability during every processing phase.
