As a (Prospective) Press Brake Operator in Oud Gastel, your work involves bending steel plates. These vary in thickness from 0.5 mm to 25 mm. You’ll do this using the LVD press brake. You’ll receive orders via computer. You’ll read the drawings and quickly understand what needs to be done. You’ll work independently at the press brake. A logistics colleague will handle the material delivery and delivery, so you won’t have to worry about this. The products are then packaged and shipped to the customer.
As a (Prospective) Press Brake Operator, your duties include:
» The machine is configured automatically, but you can adjust your machines manually;
» Bending various sheet materials to the desired shape;
» Checking the finished products for dimensions and quality;
» (Minor) maintenance and cleaning of the machinery and your workspace;
» Ensuring safety in and around your machine and the machinery.
No previous work experience is required. We help you prepare and stay up-to-date for the role of (Prospective) Kanter to Specialist. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop their talents and pursue training. We are happy to train you to become a fully qualified Kanter or, at a later stage, a Specialist. We do this with our own trainers at the 247TailorSteel Academy.
As a (Prospective) Kanter, you will work a three-shift system. What does that look like? Every week, your work schedule changes. This rotates backwards: night, late, early.
