IMS Nederland: since 1954 at home in the metal processing industry
With a very extensive range and many years of knowledge and experience, IMS Nederland offers standard and customized solutions for specific questions in the field of steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
The high-quality materials of IMS Nederland are used for various products in many sectors. IMS Nederland has very extensive options for the machining industry with various qualities of bar and hollow bar from stock, and in particular qualities such as Prodec® stainless steel, aluminum 6026, bright steel S355 IM, ETG® and HSX®. These qualities have been specially developed to optimize production processes, among other things due to the improved machinability, higher processing speeds and the longer life of cutting tools.
Prodec®, Outokumpu's stainless steel bar with superior machinability, provides customers in the machining industry with the best machinable stainless steel on the market. Prodec® optimizes productivity and ensures higher efficiency, resulting in cost savings of up to 50% per component.
ETG® and HSX® are Steeltec's high performance steels. In addition to the improved machinability, these steel grades differ from the conventional grades by their tensile strength. The materials have uniform mechanical properties over the entire cross-section and size range. As a result, a lighter construction with at least the same strength can be developed with a smaller diameter.
At IMS Nederland it is also possible to have aluminum profiles produced according to the customer's drawing, possibly already provided with holes or other treatments. These profiles can be supplied anodized or powder coated if desired.

Products & services
Engineering steel
IMS Netherlands stocks a wide range of alloyed and unalloyed engineering steel, from ø 13 mm up to ø 1,100 mm, with custom cutting available from ø 80 mm upwards. IMS Netherlands has multiple saws to execute all orders to size. The Roosendaal site is fully equipped for supplying large (call-off) orders of custom-cut pieces. IMS Netherlands also offers an extensive delivery program of steel tubes: Seamless steel precision tubes EN 10305-1 Seamless thick-walled steel tubes EN 10210 Welded steel precision tubes EN 10305-3 Welded square and rectangular hollow sections EN 10219 Welded square and rectangular hollow sections EN 10305-5 Seamless tubes are supplied both in commercial lengths and in any required fixed length.
Aluminium
IMS Netherlands supplies a wide range of aluminum directly from stock. * Bar: round, flat, square * Profile: angle profile, T-profile, U-profile * Tube: round tube, square and rectangular hollow section * Sheet: Al99.5 and AlMg3, with or without protective film * Tread plate: AlMg3, 2- or 5-bar, pickled or unpickled IMS Netherlands also provides special profiles according to drawing, optionally with holes or other machining, anodized or coated in color.
Stainless steel
The wide range of stainless steel at IMS Netherlands includes: * Round, flat, square, and hexagonal bars * Prodec®, the superior machinable stainless bar steel by Marcegaglia * T, U, and angle profiles * Flat sheets, hot- or cold-rolled (optionally ground K320 or supplied with protective film) * Tread plates and decorative sheets * Welded round tubes and box sections * Seamless tubes and seamless thick-walled tubes * Weld fittings, threaded fittings, and flanges IMS Netherlands also supplies wire, quarto-rolled plates, strip steel, bent (tube) profiles, and plasma-cut parts.
Bright steel
Bright steel has traditionally been an important product group at IMS Netherlands. In addition to the wide range of standard grades and dimensions, the assortment has in recent years been expanded with, among others, the improved machinable S355 IM and the high-performance steel grades ETG® and HSX®. We are also able to supply larger series of cut bright steel up to ø 75 mm.
