At 247TailorSteel, our developers work daily to further optimize our online software, Sophia®. Customer requests play a key role in our innovations. A frequently requested service is thread tapping. This post-processing process is now also available in our online software, Sophia®. But what exactly is thread tapping and how does it work?
Thread tapping is the process of providing a pre-drilled hole with a thread. This allows a screw or bolt to be securely fastened into the material.
There are two methods for tapping threads:
1. Manual tapping
2. Machine tapping
The result of both methods is the same. However, machine tapping offers advantages in terms of speed, precision, and efficiency. Therefore, we have expanded our machinery with tapping tables to meet customer demand.
For thread tapping at 247TailorSteel, we use the following specifications.
– Suitable for flat and curved panels
– Maximum product dimensions of 1000×1000 mm or 2000×500 mm
– Maximum product weight of 40 kg
