From customization to automation
Laser op Maat has been an established name in sheet metal working for years. Under the leadership of a dedicated team, the company has developed into a specialist in laser cutting of various metals, ranging from small nameplates to complex machine parts. The company supplies to various industries, including mechanical engineering, construction and the high-tech sector.
Ben Schellenboom, who works as a salesperson and work planner at Laser op Maat, plays an important role in the daily use of AESC software.
Laser op Maat works closely with VanderEnde Constructies, a company that focuses on construction work and assembly. VanderEnde Constructies regularly uses Laser op Maat’s products and services for custom laser processing that is incorporated into their projects. The close collaboration between both companies ensures an efficient chain from engineering to production.
Laser op Maat has recently grown considerably and is about to move to a new location. With the purchase of a second laser machine, production capacity will double, which offers new opportunities to further increase turnover.
The switch to an online portal
In order to grow further, Laser op Maat decided to offer its services online via an automated portal. This decision was made due to changes in the market and the need to attract new customers.
“We wanted to simplify the process for both ourselves and our customers and at the same time respond to the digitalization within our sector,” says Ben. “That’s how the ball started rolling.”
When implementing the online portal and other software packages, AESC came into the picture. Although Ben himself was not involved in the initial choice of the software, he has experienced the implementation and daily use of it up close.
