When the first METAVAK was held in Gorinchem in 2005, Widenhorn didn’t hesitate for a second to participate. It was the first trade fair focused on metalworking in the region, and it was also easily accessible and offered ideal show times. It started as a small-scale event, but it was an immediate success for Widenhorn from the very beginning. This was not only a way to maintain existing contacts in the region, but also to make new ones and even close orders. Since moving to the autumn, it has consistently served as a platform for launching the developments in sheet metal working made during the summer to a large and enthusiastic audience.
This year, the 106-year-old family business Widenhorn is at METAVAK for the 20th time, showcasing all its developments in CAD/CAM, calculation, planning, shop floor, and logistics for sheet metal working. The software solutions are machine-independent, and because Widenhorn writes its own postprocessors, machines can be controlled optimally and adjustments can often be made immediately. At stand A13, visitors can learn about all the possibilities for creating quotes incredibly quickly and achieving completely paperless production when orders are placed, all integrated with the ERP, planning, or accounting system.
