Clash of the Grinders is an event by 3M, organized by Metaaltechniek in collaboration with Metavak.
Are you proud of your grinding work and do you want the whole of the Netherlands to see what you can do? Are you perhaps the best grinder in the Netherlands? Take up the challenge and show what you are worth.

Grinding competition for real professionals
Grinders are often working in the background. They are not always clearly visible. But let’s be honest, where would we be without these professionals. Good grinding work can make or break the end result. High time to give them the stage they deserve.

Participate in the 2025 grinding event and win great prizes!
As far as we are concerned, every participant is a hero. The word loser does not exist in our dictionary. But every day there is a real winner who wins a great prize, after all, it is still a competition.

Points can be won on each part. Independent referees will award points. You can score points for correctly executing the assignment and the speed with which you have completed the assignment.

Daily around 5 pm during the Metavak on 7, 8 and 9 October 2025.

‍The competition consists of a number of rounds with different parts:

Choose the correct PPE that corresponds to the work and put it on/on/around in the correct way.
Prepare your tools for the test. Choose the machine and the abrasive that you want to use.

Floating welds
Cleaning welds
Paint preparation –> remove small weld and finish to level for powder coating.
